Description
Our client, who operates a subsidized daycare in Montreal, is looking to fill the position of Head Chef. This is a permanent, full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Develop varied and balanced menus based on the Canadian Food Guide on a monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual basis, as well as thematic menus ;
• Prepare and post the weekly menu, taking into account allergies and specific dietary requirements ;
• Organize the workday, prepare ingredients, and execute recipes ;
• Portion and serve meals and snacks ;
• Plan purchases based on menus and budget ;
• Communicate with suppliers, place orders, and ensure stock rotation according to hygiene standards ;
• Clean and maintain the workspace and equipment properly ;
• Perform any other related tasks.

Requirements

• DEP in Institutional Cooking or equivalent ;
• Proven experience in the restaurant industry or a related field ;
• Excellent knowledge of food allergy management ;
• Excellent command of French ;
• Valid certification in hygiene and sanitation (Food Establishment Manager) issued by MAPAQ (an asset).

Conditions

• Mode: On-site ;
