Description

Our client, situated in the eastern part of Montreal Island, is currently seeking a Raw Material Coordinator for their consumer goods company. This is a full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday, with daytime hours. The company is searching for an individual who is customer-oriented, highly professional, exceptionally organized, and possesses a strong team-oriented mindset.

Under the supervision of the Planning and Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability of raw materials according to the production schedule. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory and making necessary adjustments.

Requirements

  • Hold a DEC in Operations Management or Logistics, or have experience in planning, warehouse management, raw material procurement, or any other relevant experience;
  • Proficiency in Office 365 Suite;
  • Proficiency in French, both oral and written;
  • Proficiency in English language;
  • Proficiency in the ERP system JDE (an asset);
  • Flexibility, prioritization skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze inventory and production needs to ensure the availability of raw materials;
  • Execute necessary inventory transfers;
  • Coordinate transportation for certain raw materials;
  • Verify receipts and keep inventory up-to-date;
  • Analyze MRP messages and adjust orders;
  • Plan and manage annual inventory;
  • Schedule appointments with suppliers and produce delivery schedules;
  • Manage storage trailers to optimize space;
  • Coordinate sample requests for Marketing;
  • Validate storage invoices;
  • Monitor non-conforming raw materials with Purchasing and QA;
  • Make end-of-month adjustments;
  • Respond to Finance inquiries about inventories;
  • Perform any other related tasks.
