Are you looking for a position in a stimulating and dynamic environment?
Our client, an institution located in Montreal, is currently seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Systems Technician for a temporary position with the possibility of permanent employment.
Responsibilities
- Respond to service calls, analyze the nature of equipment, control, or system malfunctions, and calibrate, adjust, or repair them according to current procedures ;
- Suggest new work methods and submit them to the designated person for approval ;
- Perform preventive maintenance on various controls or systems by checking them at regular intervals and performing necessary calibrations ;
- Coordinate, monitor, and control the execution of work related to projects under their responsibility ;
- Ensure compliance with established plans and schedules and participate in fire alarm system verification interventions ;
- Carry out new installations or make modifications to systems as needed ;
- Establish operational sequences of various systems, defining their capacities and limitations ;
- Comply with workplace health and safety standards ;
- Perform any other related tasks.
Requirements
- Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Building Mechanics, Instrumentation and Control, Industrial Electronics, or an equivalent DEC recognized by the Quebec Ministry ;
- At least two years of relevant experience in Quebec ;
- Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license recognized for operating this type of vehicle ;
- Own safety boots ;
- Teamwork and collaboration skills ;
- Attention to detail, resourcefulness, autonomy, reliability, and precision.
Conditions
- Schedule: Monday to Friday – 35 hours/week ;
- Period: Daytime employment with the possibility of evening and night shifts in emergencies ;
- Type: Temporary with the possibility of permanent employment ;
- Salary: $26.74 to $38.72/hour (based on experience).
