Are you searching for a position in a stimulating and dynamic environment?

Our client, a consumer goods company located in the east end of Montreal Island, is looking to fill a Quality Supervisor position. This is a full-time permanent role, Monday to Friday, daytime hours. The company is seeking a resource with strong professional rigor, outstanding organizational skills, and a great team spirit.

Under the supervision of the Senior Quality Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring quality deviations and incidents, maintaining records, and managing non-conformities in coordination with other departments including Health and Safety, Regulatory Affairs, and Operations.

Requirements:

  • Member of the order of Chemists of Quebec (Ordre des chimistes du Québec) ;
  • Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field;
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance;
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • Experience in a unionized environment;
  • Supervisory experience;
  • Familiarity with various concepts, practices, and procedures in the field;
  • Proficiency with measurement devices such as vernier calipers and micrometers;
  • Proficiency in both French and English.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain various quality systems including stability programs, statistical process controls, and complaint management systems;
  • Supervise and coordinate training for new employees and annual training within the internal training program;
  • Draft, distribute, maintain, and control operating procedures for quality assurance;
  • Manage the team, motivate, and develop direct reports according to internal policies;
  • Conduct information and problem-solving meetings with the team;
  • Identify future training needs;
  • Process and analyze results from various tests and make recommendations;
  • Implement specifications for new products and ensure availability to laboratory technicians before production starts;
  • Ensure proper functioning of laboratory equipment and optimize its use;
  • Prepare and conduct internal and external audits;
  • Participate in customer audits;
  • Analyze performance indicators and initiate corrective actions;
  • Respond to customer complaints and provide customer support in product usage;
  • Perform any other related tasks.
