Job Description

We are looking for a CNC Operator for one of our clients located in Montreal. The incumbent will play an essential role at various stages of the production process. This is a permanent full-time position, spread over 3 or 4 days a week.

Requirements

• DEC in Mechanical Engineering or DEP in Machining Techniques;
• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of machining experience;
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints;
• Ability to visualize objects in three (3) dimensions from two (2) dimensional plans;
• Advanced knowledge in programming, including (EIA/ISO, G-codes);
• Good command of French;
• Knowledge of Esprit software (an asset).

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare CNC machines;
• Perform activities related to manufacturing;
• Ensure the quality of produced parts and perform first piece inspections during production;
• Assess operational efficiency and ensure the overall quality of production;
• Ensure accurate reading and understanding of blueprints;
• Control and automate machines using programming (EIA/ISO, G-codes);
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines;
• Ensure compliance with factory regulations and health and safety standards;
• Act as a certified operator;
• Perform all other related tasks.

Schedule | 3 Options:

• a) Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
• b) Evening/Night Shift: Monday to Thursday, from 3:15 PM to 2:45 AM.
• c) Weekend Shift: Friday to Sunday, from 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• d) For all options: 36 hours/week, paid for 40 hours.

Conditions

• Work modality: In-person;
• Job type: Permanent, full-time;
• Salary range: $20.72 to $24.88 (based on experience) + $1/hour evening shift premium.
