Our client, an institution located in Montreal, is currently looking for a Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) for a temporary position with the possibility of permanent hiring.
Responsibilities
- Perform various tasks related to the installation, maintenance, inspection, repair, and adjustment of the facility’s machinery and mechanical tools;
- Carry out preventive maintenance of industrial mechanical equipment, such as ventilation systems, centrifugal pumps, air compressors, and cooling towers;
- Ensure the proper functioning of equipment and replace defective components, such as pulleys, belts, ball bearings, couplings, and mechanical seals;
- Perform greasing and lubrication of equipment as per the recommendations of various manufacturers to extend their lifespan;
- Comply with health and safety standards at work;
- Perform any other related tasks.
Requirements
- DEP in industrial construction and maintenance mechanics, recognized by the Quebec Ministry;
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;
- Certificate or qualification card as a construction mechanic recognized by the Quebec Ministry (an asset);
- Must possess safety boots;
- Teamwork and collaboration skills;
- Precision, resourcefulness, autonomy, reliability, and attention to detail.
Conditions
- Schedule: Monday to Friday - 38.75 hours/week;
- Period: Daytime employment with the possibility of evening and night shifts in case of emergency;
- Mandate: Temporary with the possibility of permanence;
- Salary: $25.20 to $31.92/hour (based on experience).
