Description

Our client, a company specializing in storage and handling systems, is seeking to fill a position for an installer of storage systems and office furniture in the Greater Montreal area. This is a permanent full-time position, day shifts, Monday to Friday.

Under the supervision of the team leader, you will be responsible for assembling storage systems such as shelves, pallet racks, mezzanines, and modular desks or others. You will work closely with the team assigned to you each day to ensure the smooth operation of activities.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in assembling storage systems such as shelves, pallet racks, mezzanines, modular desks, or others;
• At least three years of experience with hand tools such as drills, floor anchors, and measuring tapes;
• Experience in installation or construction;
• Excellent command of French;
• Safety boots;
• Possession of a vehicle;
• Good knowledge of TEAMS application and email;
• ASP certification (an asset);
• Forklift/operator/elevating work platform certification (an asset);
• Skyjack certification (an asset).

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install storage systems;
• Prepare the work area by measuring and marking the zones where systems and furniture will be installed;
• Transport, unpack, and move equipment or office furniture pieces;
• Check the solidity and stability of installations to ensure user safety;
• Identify problems or defects during installation and take immediate corrective action;
• Ensure that tools and equipment are well-maintained and functioning properly;
• Plan and organize installation tasks effectively to meet deadlines set by clients or the company;
• Perform all other related tasks.

Conditions

• Work Mode: On-site, on the road;
• Required Travel: 95% of the time within Greater Montreal;
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shifts (40 hours/week);
• Salary range: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour (based on experience).
