Our client, a general contractor specializing in building construction, is looking to fill a Senior Building Estimator position. This is a permanent, full-time position located on the north shore of Montreal.

We are looking for an experienced individual to conduct in-depth analyses of tender documents, perform estimates, and coordinate and manage various subcontractors.

Profile Sought

Responsibilities

• Analyze all standing offer documents, including plans and specifications;
• Send invitations to subcontractors to submit their bids;
• Manage change notices and ensure follow-ups with subcontractors;
• Evaluate the prices proposed by subcontractors and incorporate bids into the budget;
• Submit the project for management validation;
• Administer documentation on management and file transfer sites;
• Perform any other related tasks.

Requirements

• Hold a DEC in architecture or estimation;
• Possess approximately 7 to 10 years of experience in estimation in Quebec, ideally within a general contractor firm or in any other relevant experience;
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications;
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite;
• Excellent command of the French language;
• Knowledge of BIM (a significant asset).

• Salary range: $100,000 to $130,000 (depending on experience).
