Description
Our client, a consumer goods company located in the east end of Montreal Island, is looking to fill the position of Quality Coordinator. This is a permanent, full-time, daytime position from Monday to Friday. The company is seeking a candidate with strong professional rigor, outstanding organizational skills, and a strong team spirit.
Under the supervision of the Senior Quality Manager, you will be responsible for implementing, overseeing, and continuously improving quality management systems for the Montreal and Laval plants.

Responsibilities
- Participate in implementing the quality policy at the Montreal and Laval sites;
- Ensure quality control in the laboratory, as well as in operations and production;
- Manage quality documentation and keep procedures and policies up to date;
- Contribute to project management to improve and maintain product quality;
- Monitor and implement corrective and preventive actions for non-conformities;
- Handle customer complaints and implement corrective measures;
- Analyze quality performance indicators (KPIs) and propose improvements;
- Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and certifications;
- Train staff on quality requirements;
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials and components;
- Prepare and present quality reports to the Senior Quality Manager;
- Write and update technical documents related to quality;
- Perform risk assessments and propose mitigation measures;
- Organize and maintain supplier, customer, and certification audits, ensuring follow-up on corrective actions;
- Translate quality documents as needed;
- Support and replace quality supervisors in their absence;
- Develop measurement tools to track non-conformities in production;
- Perform other related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Member of the Order of QC Chemists;
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Quality, or a related field;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or a similar role;
- Experience in developing and implementing continuous improvement solutions;
- Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining a training program;
- Laboratory experience;
- Extensive experience in a production/operations environment;
- Experience in quality management;
- Business analysis experience;
- Experience in a manufacturing environment;
- Experience in a unionized environment;
- Proficiency in quality management tools and software;
- Excellent knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma;
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards, with experience and qualifications to conduct internal and external audits;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Knowledge of quality standards and relevant regulations (GMP);
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers;
- Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken;
- Internal audit certification (an asset).

Conditions
- On-site work arrangement;
- Permanent, full-time position;
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shifts (40 hours per week);
- Availability for emergencies: occasional evening and night shifts as needed;
- Regular travel between the Montreal and Laval sites;
- Salary range: $60,000 to $70,000 (based on experience).
