Our client, a pharmaceutical company located in Pointe-Claire, is looking for a Bilingual Junior Accountant to assist the Financial Controller.

Requirements

  • Academic background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field ;
  • Proficiency in accounting software like SAP, S/4HANA, Quickbooks, Sage50, etc.;
  • Experience with CRM systems ;
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar role ;
  • Solid knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and travel & expense management ;
  • Familiarity with financial compliance and audit standards ;
  • Understanding of corporate financial policies and procedures ;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite ;
  • Fluency in French and English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

  • Manage general accounting (AP/AR, bookkeeping, payroll, travel & expense reports in compliance with company policies) ;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records ;
  • Support the preparation and entry of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments ;
  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and tax regulations ;
  • Assist with supplier payments and track billing discrepancies ;
  • Monitor and reconcile customer accounts ;
  • Prepare accounts receivable reports and follow up on outstanding receivables ;
  • Review and process employee reimbursement requests according to company policies ;
  • Conduct quality checks on expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance ;
  • Execute accounting transactions and help resolve issues while improving processes ;
  • Maintain organized financial documentation for audits ;
  • Support the implementation of internal controls, compliance requirements, and corporate policies ;
  • Perform other related tasks as needed.
